Bunny Farmhouse Hotpad Pot Holder - Antique Quilt with Bunny applique Pig Bunny Cow Chicken Shabby Kitchen Decor

Farmhouse shabby potholder or hot pad - handmade from a layer of a vintage quilt and embellished with an applique another quilt cut into bunny shape. The base square measures approx 8 inches square, with hanging loop. It was a very old quilt that had faded on the front and wasn't very pretty. The back was white and clean. I used a grain sack-look fabric to cover the square and appliqued the animal shape on top. The animal shape is cut from a colorful antique quilt. These are usuable and you can wash them - just know that after washed they will be frayed on the edges - which just shabbies them more. Any imperfections in the old quilt pieces add character to the potholder.

These make wonderful little gifts - for house warmings, weddings, birthdays, holidays, bunco gifts, prayer warriors, secret pals, etc.
